What will happen to Agent Ward on Agents of Shield?

When they first revealed him as a bad guy, when he shot Agent Hand, my first thought is that they were faking us out - that we'd find out later that he deliberately shot her in a non-fatal spot, or using blanks, etc. But since then he seems to have killed guards at the Fridge and to cap if off he seems to have killed Agent Koenig, so it looks to me like there's no way for them to back away from that . Ward is apparently now a villain.

I can't see him returning as a member of the team (unless they claim he was somehow being brainwashed or otherwise controlled, against his will, by some outside force).

Odds are they'll either kill him off, or keep him around as a regular villain. Hard to say which, at this point.
