Are you knicks fans happy Mike Woodson got Fired?

I am not a Knicks fan, but I am still going to answer...

I can't say that I am happy or sad because I'm not a fan, but many people blame Mike for the lack of success the Knicks hat this year. I feel that it is partly his fault, and partly not.

I say it's his fault because he is a players coach, which means he tries to coach while relating to his players and allowing them to have the freeness to be themselves without worrying what he would or wouldn't do if he were in their shoes vs Greg Pop. in San Antonio who tolerates nothing of the sort. In most cases that works well for a team, but with the current Knicks roster, that won't work for the reason why I say it's not his fault...

The players didn't fully respect him or have complete trust/confidence in his system as a result of him being a players coach. If you look at this video(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h8YdSMH_37o) you'll see the team leader having no regard for the coach or what he wants to do. The Mike W. is trying to draw up a play, and the best player on the team has no regard for him... cuts him off and tells his team to just play the game, followed by the coach trying to reason with him. Mind you, I think very highly of Melo and feel it's one of the best scorers our league has EVER seen. But if the best player on the team has no regard for the coach, why should anyone else?

So that is how I see things with the Knicks. Hope this helps.

I am not particularly happy that he was fired, but what this did is show that Phil Jackson means business. Hopefully PJax can put together a plan to get them at least back into the play offs.
