I have a metal Paddle Boat. 15'
I will be using 4 paddles...
And also a Small Motor that I purchase from Walmart.
This motor is operated by Battery.
I have not done this since 2000...
People keep saying things has changed.
Do I need to register my paddle boat?

any paper or license I need?

any boat that is operated with a power motor is to be reg. Now if your going to be paddling no you don't.. this is in the parks and wild life booklet...

Any boat that is mechanically propelled (including electric motors) in CA must be registered. Here is the info:

Its best to check with your fishing and wildlife dept, in Texas you can go to there web site and ask a question. Im pretty sure a boat has to be reg, a Kayak in Texas under 12' doesnt.
The trolling motor doesnt need to be tagged.
