Yahoo Answers is shutting down on May 4th, 2021 (Eastern Time) and the Yahoo Answers website is now in read-only mode. There will be no changes to other Yahoo properties or services, or your Yahoo account. You can find more information about the Yahoo Answers shutdown and how to download your data on this help page.

Since the Yahoo!Answers' site revisions, why is participation in the site worth continuing?

It has refused to play nicely with my Firefox, jamming up in the text boxes, and loading forever...forcing me to IE to use it. Point totals, percentages "best" have become erratic, and killing voting on answers has created a "dead zone" of lingering items that never seem to get resolved and just fade away. I can tune out the advertising (There is no such thing as a free lunch!) but the overall impact is very negative. This is not a rant...I have enjoyed this site a great deal, but I am open to reasons to continue reading, responding, rating etc. in the face of the other issues...provide what you can. Thank you.

It's not as much fun anymore...Didn't they stop and think that

the asker doesn't actually know the best or correct answer ...Why would anyone think that the person asking the question would know more than the people answering, that's why they asked the question in the first place.
