Can't lose either way, there will always be sick children/well visits.
There will also always be computers and advancement. Long term, you'll probably have more career opportunities as well as make more money in computer science.

Check information from organizations that help those professionals. For podiatrists:

Podiatry requires a medical degree> It requires a 4-year undergrad degree, 4 years of podriatrics medical school, and 3 years of hospital training. Then practice. And patience.
You wrote "pediatrist". Did you mean a doctor in pediatrics (children)? Or podiatry (feet)? One deals with people, the other is a surgical specialty.
For computer science only an undergraduate degree is needed, but the skills are really very different. And the work environment -- not even close.
I hope you can make a list of the pros and cons for each. Fit your personality to the skills required for the specialty. Imagine yourself in school, then the job. Compare hours, working conditions, lifestyle.

You can become both since you need a 4 year degree to apply to medical school :) .
Good luck !
