How come Attack on Titan is so liked?
Man I was just browsing through some videos and images and omg its so gross. Those titans appearance is fugly as hell with those insane eyes, they just eat people and god the whole thing is so f****d up, idk but its so popular i dont get it. Is it just me or what? I think I wouldnt stand to watch a single episode of that stuff. I like a good action myself but this **** is weird not cool. Yeah I know I could just get over it and not bother making a topic, but I keep seing AOT so often it makes me curious.

Because it's a good show.
It's got an action-packed story that keeps you on the edge of your seat, and the animation and soundtrack are great.
I don't really think it's that twisted. Like, I find those nature documentaries where you have to watch in horror as the hungry cheetah chases the poor zebra to be a lot more disturbing.
But then again, I really love horror and gore and zebras, so my standards are likely rather different.
Despite the premise, and despite having a good deal of violence and death, they really shy away from showing much gore at all. And it moves too quickly for you to care much about whoever gets eaten. So it's less twisted and more an adrenaline rush.
And I love that the titans are so hideous. It really adds to the mood. You're supposed to feel the horror of humanity being at the bottom of the food chain, and it just wouldn't be the same if 50 ft tall supermodels were attacking.

Because Attack on Titan is a very good anime, and the anime is very different then the fandom...It also has fricken awesome fight scenes and you can feel the feels while you watch it. It is not just about the titans either there are emotional parts too. Some people like anime like that, like me...But I guess it's your own personal opinion...But anyways Attack on Titan is a very great/awesome/epic anime!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I didn't like it that much. I think some people just like like weird violent stuff? there are some people that really like the human centipeide, the world is just a messed up place. Think of an action movie you like and think about why you like it.. people like attack on titan probably for those exact reasons.

Oh my god. There are monsters eating all the humans. WTF, why are they so ugly? They would be so much more disturbing (Like they're supposed to be) if they were really PURTY.
