what kinds of beddings can i use for garden snails?

Its a baby, and it is only 1-3mm long. I and I am going to keep him/her till its biggger and warmer out. its a dark snail, and I want to be able to see him/her, and when I clean the tank I don't want to accidentally get rid of the snail. So is there anything I can do (put some kind of white soil, or something in)

Wet soil as the base, greens leaves and damp branches on top with rocks and any moss you can find. Put in lots of plants that where nearby where you found it, as it's diet should have a lot of that in.

You will also need a spray bottle water thing. If you don't keep a snails conditions moist they will die.

It also might be a good idea to have an extra shallow dish of water to help keep the container moist and give the snail a drinking place/somewhere to keep moist itself.

Source(s): Kept a snail I stepped on once, its badly damaged shell healed, but I think it died of old age or something the day I was going to release it...

Put white rocks in. It grows algae their favs! But if you got the snail off of a beach of something and are going to release it, you just stole it.
