Looking for a multiplayer city building game?
My girlfriend has went on maternity leave and we both have a love for gaming but im stuggling to find a certain type of game!
We need a game where we can be opposite teams and compete against each other for land and resources and possibly even go to war over said resources.
I don't want the aim of the game to be destroy your opponents base and win. I want it more like we are 2 nations who can setup trade and help each other out to build a huge nation BUT also the element of war should be present so we have the ability to 'scare' each other by enforcing boundaries/borders

Age of Wonders I & II & III - A hexagonal turn based game
Rise of Nations - This one is more war based, but it does have boarders and have methods of winning through dominating the other nation through sheer expansion.
What you're looking for is a niche but not too uncommon game. There are a few games similar to your description, but I'm afraid they're not what you're looking for.
