I moved out on my 18th bd and stayed with friends till I got a job saved the money for my own place

A family I had babysat for offered to let me stay with them until I got a job. So I caught a ride to the city then took a job as a housekeeper. As soon as I could I got a minimum wage job and moved to a rented room with a bath down the hall. I moved a couple of blocks from work so didn't have transportation cost, didn't have tv or radio or telephone so pretty cheap living. I was able to save enough to buy bedding and dishes and things and soon was able to get a studio apartment.

daddy said he would pay my rent for three months, and after that, I would be on my own, so I got a good job and moved into my own place.
