Where did my Top Contributor status disappear to?

Yahoo removed it. Unfortunately you didn't keep up the percentage of best answers and answers requirement in order to retain it if you spend a little more time in that category working on it some time in the future you may get it back. Check the link from Yahoo.

As mentioned, the TC badge is dynamic. So you can lose it or regain it. The change happens on Monday. Yes, the fact that we no longer can vote our answers as Best will negatively impact our TC badges. On the other hand, that is NOT a valid reason to stop answering people, even those with a "history of not choosing a best answer". The point of this site is not the points, the badges or getting picked as best. It is supposed to be about giving good answers to people that need them, whether or not they know to pick a BA.

You need to focus on getting more best answers is one particular category. That's harder because community voting no longer exists. So when answering a question, avoid members who have a history of not choosing a best answer. With a lower weekly percentage BA. you can lose the TC badge.

You have to do a certain amount of work in each category you are a TC in and they can come and go.

From experience I have found it can take 2-3 weeks to win them back.

They are awarded on a Sunday night, so you will be without one for the next week or two probably

The same place mine went,you aren't getting enough BAs and keeping your percentage up.Many of my contacts who gave me BAs have quit YA due to the new format and as a result my percentage has suffered a mortal blow.

and since they took the voting option away many are losing it

to me it really doesn't matter I still will answer questions but not at the rate I was before
