Which canned tuna in stores come from Atlantic Ocean?
I like tuna but want to avoid Pacific fish.. which canned tuna in most grocery stores is caught only in Atlantic? Albacore? Yellowfin? Thanks

Almost all canned tuna is caught in the Pacific ocean. My research indicated that no company uses Atlantic caught tuna, exclusively. The most common type of tuna found in the Atlantic Ocean is Blue Fin tuna and Blue Fin is never used for canned tuna. It is mostly used for sushi and sashimi.
You could probably buy raw fresh Atlantic Blue tuna at a good fish market. It is delicious. Learn to make sushi or cook the tuna rare and never more than medium rare. Tuna is a great tasting fish.

I buy Italian olive oil canned ones, Calipo, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese types are fished in the Mediterranean.
