I am worried about my education at college?

I went to India to see my grandmother because she was ill. When I came back my tax credits benefit has stopped. I don't get child benefit. The benefit I used to get was child tax credit now it has stopped because they noticed I haven't attended the college. But now I attend college and we have sent a proof of attending the college. Tax credit office said my benefit might start next month. But I am worried about my college. Its not my fault my mum took me to see my grandmother. Can I get withdrawn from my course? Will it effect? I also have college support for example squid card, transport and class support these get withdrawn? If they do how long will it take to withdraw? The benefit was stopped last month. I am worried and what can I do if they effect my education?

Update:

Please note: I am from UK

Update 2:

Please note: I was forced to go out of the country It was not my own choice to leave.

Update 3:

I did inform the college how long I went for before I went to see my grandmother in India

Your mother didn't force you, you went of your own accord

You don't say how long you were away and how much college you missed

You also seem to have failed to inform anyone that your circumstances were temporarily changing

The college will tell you if you lose your place as that depends if you are achieving the targets

of your course and your overall attendance, so ask the college

It is you who has affected your education by going away during term time
