Right kidney pain and smelly urine?

so a couple of weeks ago I had thrush, the symptoms of this has now gone (this is all during having sores around my anus so I am currently being tested for herpes)... But now today i'm having pains in my right kidney and for a few days now I've been having strong smelling urine. I don't know if this is a result of being put on valtrex for the possible herpes or if it's something else.

I haven't felt myself for weeks now and am starting to become very worried.
