What could I do to try to go to a dance with my instructor on Tuesday if he doesn't ask me first?

I had wanted to go to Strictly Westie at Connolly's in NYC last night with my dance instructor. I ended up not going because he texted me that he was definitely going to Connolly's a couple of minutes after I had alreay gotten on the bus to go home. I'm still very mad at myself for not waiting a little bit longer to hear back from him because if I had, I would have been able to go to the dance. I have a west coast swing lesson with him scheduled for next Tuesday and I was hoping that I could go to Connolly's with him then esp. since I missed out on that dance last night. Any advice on how I can try to go to it with him if he doesn't mention to me first that he's going to that dance? I can't go without him to this dance because I won't have a way to get home safely without him. FYI I don't know if it makes a difference considering that he knows I want to go with him because I need a way back home but he is married and I don't want him to get any sort of wrong impression. I have an amazing bond with him and I don't want to ruin it because it's something that I really treasure having. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
