We're in love and we have yet to meet in person?

She and I have been emailing about five weeks and we have developed some pretty intense feelings toward one another. We are meeting for the first time on the 22nd of May. In the meantime, can't I just love her for what she and our relationship is worth at this point? What do I have to know about her in order to love her in the first place? Yes, she may do something that hurts me, but if perfect love is unconditional then for what reason do I cease loving her? Of course, I may not like everything ABOUT her. Why can't I just love HER?

Thank you for your response.

You're not in love with her because you've never even met her. All you know about her is what she has chosen to reveal about herself at this point. The rest you have just filled in the blanks. It's an illusion at this point. What you feel right now is an attraction. That's fine and it's normal, but don't call it love. When you meet for the first time, it could be TOTALLY different than you expect. Trust me, I'm a seasoned online dater and I know what I'm talking about.

There's absolutely no reason why you can't love her. If you love her, then you love her. You can't control how you feel. If it is making you happy to love her, then keep it up.
