If Same sex marriage is such and important issue to the voting publlic?

Can you liberals explain why CA voted it down and had to be taken before the Supreme Court. It would appear that less than a majority agrees with it.

Um. Have you actually read the news in the past 2 years, Gay marriage rights are being granted monthly.

Do you focus on California because they took one step back after 1000 steps forward and somehow that makes you feel optimistic?

I will explain it for you.

Why did Prop 8 pass? A massive disinformation campaign financed in large part by the Mormon Church.

Would Prop 8 pass today? Not a chance. The most recent polls indicate that almost 2/3 of Californians support same-sex marriage.

I'm not sure that this is the pivotal issue for most voters, but times do change. It's doubtful that a state measure like Proposition 8 would pass today.
