Fiction readers, do you know of any books similar to the Shadowrun series?
I've been reading the series from the beginning for quite a while, but just found I've read them all and still like the setting. Any suggestions for something similar, or just a good fantasy/sci-fi book of any kind? I'm almost out of things to read (for enjoyment, there's always paperwork) and have been reading that one series for so long I'm not sure where to go next.

I haven't read the Shadowrun series but based on the title, I would assume something like the Night Angel trilogy would be pretty similar. It's basically about an orphan who becomes the apprentice of a professional magic assassin.
