Do u think these courses together are too much for one semester?
I'm a freshman, and starting the fall semester I will be a sophomore. I'm planning to do programming, physics 102, calculus 2, writing 102, and intro to statistical analysis. I am not confident in doing well in all of them, I was wondering if this will be stressing. My friend told me that I have to get used to it, since later on during my junior year and all things will always be like this. All my major courses will be tough and I won't have a choice but to do them together. My major is computer engineering.

Your friend is probably right. It doesn't get easier, so you should get used to taking a number of classes each quarter (and those classes don't get easier, as your friend and I both said).
The way to not stress is this ... get in the habit of not using the modern-day distractions all the time. Turn off the computer, internet, cell phone, TV, etc. for a few hours a day and use that time to *focus on* and mainly, *take interest* in what you are studying. Things get into long-term memory very easily if you do that.
(We didn't have the internet or cell phones when I was in college in the 1980's, hence it was impossible to be distracted by those things. Nowadays, many students find the internet and their cell phone to be huge distractions. This is where self-discipline enters the scenario. Turn those things off for a while. Get in the habit of doing so. Reading Facebook statuses or watching youTube videos or whatever else will not help you achieve your career goals.)
