are u with or against abortion & why?

I am not fully against abortion; I'm more against the cut of point as to which you can have it; which in the UK is 24 weeks. Babies that have been born prematurely at 24 weeks have survived. Which is why I think the limit should be lowered, the a baby is developing rapidly at 24 weeks such as the brain is developed and other vital organs before 24 weeks.

I think there are certain circumstances where an abortion is acceptable such as rape and if the mother or baby are in danger and an a termination is medically recommended. But if someone got pregnant through stupidity then I think if you're old enough to do the act you're old enough to deal with the concequences.

This is just my opinion I know peoples are different I hope no one took offence to my answer.

Pro. If the child is unwanted, why should one bring it in to this world where it will get hatred from his/her own parents. Okay not hatred but resentment ?

And it is no "murder" as some say. You know why ? Because a fetus develops a heart/heartbeat only after 5/6 weeks. So if before that the abortion is conducted it is no murder, because it is merely a mass of cells and nothing else. After that, maybe it might be wrong. But I don't see why. And I don't understand one fact, why do all others but the mother of the baby care on what she is going to do with the baby? Once my friend and I were having a discussion as to if we were ever to get pregnant now ( we are 17) would be abort the baby? And my immediate answer was yes. I am alive, already in this world. I am going to place my priorities and well being on top of someone who as of now doesn't even exist !

Against. There is no good defense for it when there is adoption. It is the single most self centered act I can think of. Women that kill their own child have no conscience. I don't want to hear anything about an unborn child not being alive. The word Fetus means human in Latin and an unborn child has a heart beat within 3 weeks of conception. Watch a live abortion online and see if you're still in favor of it. Look into Project Rachel which ministers to women who have had abortions. The guilt they feel, some to the point of suicide.

I personally am Pro Choice (Pro Abortion)

Every other living thing on the planet has something like a 90% infant mortality rate along with other kinds of natural population control. That helps keep them in check. Humans have something like a 90% infant success rate and no natural enemies other than other humans. We ARE over populating the planet. Sinse we are not smart or humble enough to control our own population by responsible reproduction we NEED some other options available to us. NOBODY needs more than 2 or 3 kids (Duggars). Even at 3, we will still over populate the planet, it will just take longer. Some people are simply not fit to be parents for any number of reasons. Oddly enough, they seem to be the ones 'contributing' the most. Are we really doing a soul/baby a favor by bringing it into a mess of a world/life?

Has nothing to do with "sin". Abortion is murder of a human being that has a heartbeat, just like one answerer said, within only a few few weeks! I have a cousin that got pregnant from being raped, her son is now 9 year old and she loves him more than anything! The baby is a part of the mother as much as the father is. Why would you want to kill something that is a part of you, ya know? A child did not ask for their mother to be raped, this is a bad world we live in and bad things happen, but why hold it against the baby? I just do not think that I could live with myself knowing that I killed my child, a child that probably looked like me, had my smile, my eyes or even my personality. I just do not see how...

I am in favor of abortion accept late term.

When someone is unready to be a mother and is dysfunctional or too young for there frontal lobe finish developing, they end up with very poor parenting skills. The children who are victims of bad parenting grow up to be dysfunctional themselves. It spreads like a cancer,

Also the only life that matters is the life that can feel, experience, and have pain receptors. This is why I'm against late term abortion, once the baby's central nervous system is developed it can be essentially called a human being. Before that, it's JUST a bunch of ingredients.

In my opinion, I think abortion should be legal to a certain extent (i know it's legal) but my point is...if an adult or even a teenager is sexually active and does not take care when practicing sex, then if they unwantingly fall pregnant they should not be allowed an abortion. Therefore, it is their fault. If they did not want a child they could of prevented it. However, if someone is tragically raped and falls pregnant it should be allowed because who in their right mind would want to raise a rapist's baby. Some people who feel strongly about religion say that it is a sin to abort your baby but isn't it a sin to rape!! What if a young girl was raped by her father and became pregnant, what would be right in this situation?? If some of you are still not satisfied with this example, then imagine this...what if when you were older with a young daughter of your own, she was raped and became pregnant, would you really want your daughter, YOUR BABY, to be forced to raise a baby of her own because you forbid abortion. How is that fair?? etc...

Im against...that chaild deserieve to live a life just like u or me or anybody else.. If u have sex with bf and get pregnet its your mistake not that baby in u so bear it and give it to adoption if u dont want him, there are ppl who cant get pregnet and would be happy to have a kid.. If u are repeded, the same thing..i guess it would be hard thing to have child in u and u know that fhater is rapest..but killng someone just caz u dont wannt to have kid or u your raped and dont wannt to have any memories from him but can u live with the fact that u kill someone who didnt do nothing wrong? Didnt even come to this world and sow it with his eyes and touch gress and sow birds and every little thing in this beautiful world?

I think it's good for people who get pregnant accidentally to have that option, teenagers who don't know what they're doing and stuff, but over all I don't think it should be done as much as it is. If an adult gets pregnant then she should have been more sensible. It's a very difficult situation.
