Is it ok if I use this milk for custard mixture?

I'm going to make a custard mixture and the recipe calls for whole milk, I only have 2% milk will that affect the outcome? Or does it really not matter if I use 2% milk instead of whole milk?

It'll be fine but won't taste quite a rich.

I speak from professional experience,it probably won't work well as the cream in whole milk is what makes custard good. It's the same with cheese & white sauce, neither works well with reduced fat milk.

It'll be fine. The taste might not be as rich, and it may not be as creamy, but it will certainly work.

You need the fat you can use the 2% and be fine just add a tablespoon extra of your fat (oil/butter)

You can use it but the custard will not be quite as rich but it will work.

If you have a can of evaporated milk..not sweetened condensed milk you could combine that with the 2%
