I am assuming that you want a page or 2 unnumbered at the front of the paper and the numbering to start on the next page.

Go to the bottom of the last page not to be numbered and insert a Next Page section break- Page Layout tab, Page Setup group, and click on the Breaks icon. Go to the next page and insert the page number by double clicking in the header to open the correct ribbon. Click on the Page # icon and format it to start at 1.

    1. Click on Insert menu

    2. Click on page number at Header & footer section

    3. Click on page number format

    4. At page numbering section choose start page no.

    Thank you
