    To make sure the bones are broke, gently rub your fingers over the squirrel checking for irregular bumps. If you think a limb is broken, gently outstretch it and gently feel along the limb for numbs or anything that might be broken. Unfortunately he may be too small to fix anything broken, but there's no harm in calling a vet and seeking advice.

    If nothing seems broken or fractured you have two choices;

    1. Release him.

    2. Care for him.

    If you honestly just don't want to be bothered, put him on craigslist and see if anyone might want to attempt to care for him. Watch out for the freaks out there though. You could also put him back, and just hope for the best.

    If you'd like to care for him, here's is a detailed website that will enable you to give him proper care.

    Whatever happens after he's weened is your decision, release him..keep him.. It's up to you.

    Best of luck to you and the little guy!

    Take it to a vet to get it euthanatised. It is a wild animal not a pet and therefore if it is incapable of fending for itself then it is for the best.

    Do what is best for the animal not yourself.
