Can tampons make you bleed lighter?
Had an extremely heavy period started Friday, due to change in birth control about a month ago. Then today I've been using tampons because of the fact of leaking thru overnight pads after like 2-3 hours. And now it's extremely light. It might just be coincidence but seems like it's happened to me before as we'll.

No. The use of tampons or pads have no bearing on how little or much you bleed. It's most likely that your birth control has finally kicked in. Most people on birth control tend to get lighter periods.
I used to have very, very heavy periods to the point a regular tampon would last an hour. Now I don't even need a regular tampon but use the lite because that's how light my periods are. Thank god for birth control!
