It's the the fundamentalist concept of God that's gotten byatch-slapped by science. More enlightened concepts of God are alive and well.

Such a comment shows you don't appreciate the variables of God and science.
You don't realize what you just said.

I love house some of these users said "so life does need an intelligent designer", like that proves god exists. Let go of the fantasies people. Scientists did poof a put them there. They grew, from nothing, on their own.

Quite the contrary. This provides evidence that life can only form by an intelligent designer. We have not seen evidence of life spontaneously forming, but we have just seen evidence of life forming from an intelligent designer (scientist). That should speak to you.
Secondly, if scientists really did create life they'd make their own atoms/molecules to use in their own form of DNA. rather they plagiarized God's concept of life and took credit for it. Make your own life!

Let us see the outcome if in fact what is said proves true. A few years ago we harnessed the power of the atom, and what was its first use but to annihilate cities in a flash of a second. It is one thing to manipulate the forces of nature, but it is quite another thing to master them.

So, there were intelligent designers who made up a life form?
Sounds more like evidence FOR God than against Him.

Sadly no especially not in america only 1 in 3 people don't believe in evolution and only 2.3% are atheists but I do think science is on the rise.
