will a modern day retro made 350 v8 (say 2003) sound exactly like the 1975 350 v8 from years ago?

Update:

chvy camaro 1975 had a 2002 0r 2003 engine put into it. it would not be that same as the corvette engine would it? it has carbs and all that so id say its a retro made one. main thing is would the sound of the v8 be the same rumble of an 70's 80's v8?

Update 2:

i meant to say corvette 2003 engine would not be the same would it. as i think its more modern.

Depending on the exhaust installed, pretty much. The configuration of the crank and cylinders has the biggest influence on the sound of an engine... and most of the sound is from the exhaust. The only thing that would change it appreciably would be the installation of a supercharger or turbocharger.

I guess you mean a small block 350, not an LS engine? Sound is not that important anyway. If so, get some speakers and a sound track from the vehicle you want to hear and play the sound track on some kind of audio machine.
