Why has Christianity suppressed Mother Goddess?
There are *many* resources available about Her.
In the earliest complete Christian Bible (the Septuagint) She speaks in Proverbs 8:22-36, in Sirach (also called Ecclesiasticus, *not* Ecclesiastes) Chapter 24, and is spoken of with highest praises in The Wisdom of Solomon Chapters 6 thru 8.

An excerpt from THE SONG OF GOD by Azrael Ondi-Ahman (who claims to be John the Baptist returned, as Jesus said he would return, again, in Matt. 17:15, "Elijah does come, and he is to restore
all things" -- which is Elijah's *third* appearance, for certainly "all things" were not "restored" with his third appearance as John the Baptist) is here:

Among all things to be restored is, of course, our Divine Mother -- for it is *impossible* to have a genuine "Heavenly Father" without there also being a Divine Mother.
Her Return has been prophecied in "THE DIVINE BOOK OF HOLY AND ETERNAL WISDOM:

Mormons know about Her but keep very *silent* upon this subject; the book about Her on-line has disappeared! Perhaps the women got *silenced* again by the Mormon patriarchy?
Many have experienced Her:
Yahoo keeps cutting off my full comments, does not allow me to get the remainer posted ( i'm keeping them *short*). Keep getting "Comment could not be posted. Please try again later." It never gets-thru, later.
My entire comment to Mephistopheles: "More a matter of many of them hating any women being in positions of *real* power & authority in their religions."
Sofar aeiou2 has posted the response i'm considering for "Best Answer" because it's an *original* perspective.

creation takes both masculine and feminine. trying to promote one, or suppress the other, are the exact same thing in that they are claiming that they are of a "higher" importance when in reality neither is better for they are paradoxically the same exact thing.

Most of the followers have been misled. It isn't a religion that honors the goddess, it is the soul.

Because the Christians, ignoring Christ's teaching about casting judgment on others, think that people who worship a goddess are terrible, going to hell, devil worshippers who must be stopped.

For the same reason a child transcends from unconditional mother's love to conditional father's love.
The Christian society has evolved to such sociological complexity that its "being" has transcended into the outward evolving principle.

Scripture has placed women in a support role...but in no way making them lesser people...(1 Timothy 2:15) However, she will be kept safe through childbearing, provided she continues in faith and love and holiness along with soundness of mind.
