    H3PO4 + 3 NaOH --> Na3PO4 + 3 H2O

    Each molecule of H3PO4 has 3 H+ that need to be neutralized. So, as seen in the balanced equation, 3 moles of NaOH are required to neutralize each molecule of H3PO4.
