VEHICLE TO TOW WITH GOOD MPG?
I am looking for either an suv for a truck that can haul a light boat (sea doo sportster -weighs 2700 lbs dry) but I want something with pretty good gas mileage when im not towing (between 17-20 city) as it will also be my work commuter. What are some suvs or trucks out there that can haul this much and still have capacity to hold 4 people and tow a small boat like this????

A 2700lb boat is not a light boat. Shoot, a 21' bass boat is only 1800lbs. Sure, a compact can pull that much, but the short wheelbase and light drivetrain would not be up to the stress, nor would the brakes. Get a fullsize truck and the couple mpg different won't make a difference, really.

That just requires a Class II hitch. My Ford Thunderbird could probably pull that! :) Any compact pickup like a Frontier, Tacoma, or Ranger would be more than adequate for that, even with a 4-cylinder.
