2nd PS4 controller broken?

So, the controller that came in the box for my PS4 broke In a month, so I sent it back to get replaced. Now, one and a half months later, my replacement has broken, it won't let me sprint. I don't really want to send it back because I have to wait 2 weeks for a replacement leaving me unable to play at all. It really annoying that it's the second controller in like 4 months, about to be the third. Never had this problem with PS3, had two controllers since 2009 and not a problem.

Is there anyway to either get it sent back quicker or fix it myself without having to pay £50 for a new one?
