Cash public assistance is...?

Need a little assistance here.

What is the difference, if any, between "Cash Public Assistance" and SNAP, TANF, etc?

The exact nature of this question regards "other forms of cash public assistance such as SSI."

I am trying to help someone fill out government papers and she was told, by the government, that the "cash public assistance" only meant SSI. So, if I'm misreading this, let me know.

    you need to contact her local jobs and family services in the county where she is residing for complete authorized explanations.
