The second one was my introduction to the games..to this day I think it's the best one..
They're still good games story wise..it's hard to truly still love it though as the games are dated compared to the graphics now adays..

Yes, Silent Hill 1 is an exceptionally good game, compared to the others. The first one, is actually better, and more original. The storyline is spectacular (though I won't spoil it for you, if you are anticipating to play it). You should play it if you haven't already. It is one of my favorite games.
