What ground cover will fill small patches in a shady lawn?

Its a camomile treneague lawn in a clay soil its partially shady it needs to be hardy.

The camomile is shrinking back in winter leaving holes where weeds are growing.

Hi, You didn't specify what zone you are in, so it is hard to recommend a perennial ground cover. Lobularia (Sweet Alyssum) is a good choice if you live in zone 8 or above. In zone 7 or above, you can look at growing Setcreasea. Ajuga (Bugleweed) is a good flowering choice and is hardy to zone 3. It may be the closest to the chamomile you currently have, though the colors will definitely be different. Heuchera (Coral Bells) can also be tolerant at zone 3 and comes in a huge variety of colors. These are all widely adaptable to different soils, but you might want to check with a local gardener or garden shop to find out which would work best for you. Personally, I would go with Ajuga :) Hope this helps!
