When you find yourself in this "brainstorming" mode, get a notebook and write down every idea that pops in your head. Don't worry about doing them at that time, just get them out on paper. If writing is too slow, use a voice recorder or tape recorder and just talk, then go back and listen while writing them all down.
When the brainstorming is passed and your mind is quiet, go through the list and try to prioritize which ideas are most important to you. Assign a code so you can then sort them out by priority (example A, B, C), or just number them. You may decide some ideas aren't worth pursuing, so just erase or line-through them.
Once you're through the list, start with your highest priority and work on it. If you get bored, tired, or just want to change, go to the next on the list and work on it a while. Continue to do this until your list is done, or until you want to make a new list. I don't know how many things you like to work on at the same time, but I can't handle more than two or three. I don't go past #3 on my list without completing one of the first set. You might be able to handle more (or less).
As you finish the item, mark it off the list or "COMPLETE". This is really what I live for!! The sense of satisfaction in completing an item is why I do this.
Hope this helps.

Write down a list of all the things you want to do and the time in which you want to have done the things, then cross off the things once you have done them.
