Graduation Party?
Here's my situation; I am a Senior at the University of Phoenix and I will be going through the commencement ceremony this June locally but won't be done with classes until October. As a result of that I was originally planning to have my open house the Sunday after commencement but my mom thinks it might be better to wait til I actually have the piece of paper before I have the open house.
I already have invited people via Facebook and reserved a site for June but I think I can switch it easily.
What do you all suggest: June or October?

Happened in our family. One young man was three credits short of the requirements for graduation. He didn't tell his mom about that, and she went ahead and planned a big family gathering. When we all found out, we just went ahead and enjoyed the get-together. My husband and I did not offer a graduation gift, because we thought that hiding the problem from his mom and everybody had not been honorable.
