What is my next move?

I live in Kansas, and I just sent earnest money to purchase a co op in Phoenix. The Board won,t approve me until it meets me. My home in Kansas closes on June 6. I will not get to Phoenix until the 10-12. I am traveling by car. I do not want to get caught in a situation where I am obligated for the full amount of the co op, before I get Board approval. It should be a formality, but who knows! You,d think the seller and her agent would be motivated to assist me, but my agent hasn't heard from them. I know my options.Among them is to walk away and leave 2k on the table. I am in constant contact with my agent, what instructions should I give him? Thanks!

    That is standard for co-ops.

The seller and his/her agent can not help you! The co op board wants to meet you before giving permission so the sale can go through. You can always fly out for a meeting with the board and then fly back home.

Why don't you fly in for a day trip to Phoenix for the interview.

you are sitting at a computer with a cam, right? Just call them and see if you can Skype for the pre-introduction followed by the real one when you get there.
