I can't find my dog?

I live in a apartment complex in the city and my apartment is right next to a small wooded area that's separated by a detention pond with a gate. My little cute dog NEVER runs away he's to scared to. He just likes to run outside and chase the birds in the detention pond. Well he's gone and hasn't returned and I'm thinking the worse cause that wooded area has a bobcat or someone stole him. He's microchiped so I will call shelters and vets when I get a chance but what do you think happened to him cause he never runs away.

Why did you let your dog roam lose? Clearly you let the dog roam lose. No dog is affird to run off and since you didn't care enough to keep the dog on a leash or keep the dog properly contained , its long gone.

There a good chance its been killed by a wild aniaml, ran over, drown in the pond and worse. All because you can't be bothered to keep it on a leash.

Its sad you claim he dog never runs away then say it does run off and roam lose. The dog is likely dead due to yoru neglect.

I'd he chases birds he might not have run away per se, but gotten so into the chase he got lost. Someone may have found him and taken him to a shelter (hopefully). I wish you the best of luck finding your dog!!

It's illegal to allow your dog to roam. If you cared about this little dog, you would have had him on a leash so you could supervise and protect him. I hope he's alright, but maybe someone who will appreciate him will find him and love him.

And it's REtention pond, not DEtention.
