Turbo civic question?
My buddy has an 07-08 8th gen SI Civic. Is the stock motor a K20 or K24 or something else? How much boost could it run with stock internals? We'd like to just install a turbo and blow off valve and just keep the PSI lower to not have to take apart the whole engine to switch out for forged pistons. Any help? If its a guess please just say so. Thanks

The car comes with a 2.0-liter K20Z3 i-VTEC engine that produces 197 hp (147 kW; 200 PS) and 139 lbf·ft (188 N·m) of torque, while also including a 6-speed manual transmission with a helical limited slip differential.

I do not fully understand your intention about what to do: Put a turbo on a stock engine? Better not: You should honestly not have to worry about the internals right now. I would keep the boost limited to around 6-7 psi because anymore than that and you might push your luck. But read this answer I've given to another member for the K-series:
