So the Tory immigration stance works does it?

Posted on May 22, 2014 9:13 AM

UKIP leader Nigel Farage today condemned David Cameron for "breaking a solemn promise to the British people to get net annual immigration down to the tens of thousands".

Mr Farage spoke out as new official statistics showed that with less than a year to the end of the parliamentary term, net immigration is running at well above 200,000.

And it is immigration from other EU countries that is most out of control because Britain is powerless to stem the flow while we remain a member of the Brussels club.

While immigration from the rest of the world FELL by 11,000 in the year ending December 2013 compared to the year before, it ROSE by 43,000 from EU countries.

Anyone else think the Tory's have got it right?

Of course, most people with an ounce of intelligence knows that whenever Cameron opens his mouth, he lies through his back teeth. And surely everyone knows that if we are full members of the EU, our borders are wide open to the 485 million souls that live there, and they cannot be stopped from coming here if they wish - as are the EU rules that we are signed up to. Of course, they aren't ALL going to come here on the next Eurostar, but many will, and obviously many have done, and they are still pouring in. I'm not sure where they are all living, because there is an acute housing shortage, and local people especially with their young families are having severe problems getting housed, Cameron and co conveniently ignore that. They 'talk' the 'talk' about building new houses, but it will never be enough at the rate in which we are supposed to soak up immigrants. Lets not even talk about the strain all this uncontrolled mass immigration puts on schools, the NHS, welfare and public transport.

When a major established party makes a promise, it should stick by it, and not try to bury it all by conveniently forgetting about those promises. Cameron and the other 2 anti British traitors / Miliband and Clegg, will say anything.to get people to vote for them.

UK politicians can spout what they like but they have no real control over the EU and yet we aren't even fully signed up to it yet

The government aren't going to be able bring down immigration like they promised just like they haven't brought down the defecit. In both cases it's just been made worse

Now I was quite pleased when the media talked about Cameron getting support from his peers to get an EU reduction a while back but what happened?

Instead the EU budget went up by a lot, which meant despite all the cuts made by our own government we had to increase spending to the EU so what was the point of all that austerity that made people in this country worse off?

Worse still they then had the cheek a few months later to come back demanding billions more because they'd run out of money

Part of that budget increase included covering the cost of private schooling for EU officials. Everybody else would pay for that out of their own pocket, but these lot get away with giving themselves perks and MEPs don't seem to mind

There can be no control over immigration as an EU member state because they need that open door policy

If you think it's bad now that we've got traffic signs up in this country in foreign languages, or that teachers have to devote more time to non-English speaking children it will only get worse

The EU is made up of multiple countries all speaking different languages and it will keep growing. This is nothing like the USA and it was naive to cobble these countries together in the foolish assumption that it would somehow work in the same way

Right choice for Europe, but UKIP will not be a REAL major power in Westminster in my lifetime. The Tories do NOT have it right. I can't forgive Cameron for weaselling out of a referendum in 2010. I don't trust ANY of the established parties on Europe. I voted for a "Trade Agreement" many many years ago - as did many of my contemporaries. We were taken into Europe on a LIE.

I want a referendum to put that straight. "In Europe or Out of Europe" I honestly do not know which way I would vote without a lot of thought.

But I-WANT-THAT-CHOICE Mr Lying-Politician-of Whichever Denomination.

No i don't think they have but i will never forgive Farage for voting against a 2006 motion to protect women from violence including making non consentual sex in marriage legal meaning a husband could rape his wife.

He then tried to blame it on a comment made by another UKIP member but the fact is that he and several other UKIP members voted against it,it was passed thanks to other parties voting for it but i will never forgive Farage for voting against it.

A political party is about more than just one stance, just because their view is agreeable on one matter it does not make them fit to run a country,i agree with Labour on some things but not on others,i even god forbid agree with the tories on a few things but not most others.

UKIP might be the right choice for many as far as the EU go but in 2015 no way will i be voting for them.
