should I go with high compression or pump gas motor? and which 1 is better for a 71 caprice?

Its a 512ci motor. But i am in a situation on what should I do. About 800hp motor. I want the motor to last with out running into all the problems. Even though I want it to run when the light turn green.. I'm keeping it on the street only

    800 HP gotta be running at least 11:1 compression, 92 octane w/ probably octane boost additive.

    You want a pump gas motor.
