NO! If guns are banded, mentally ill people will find a way to harm others. If the government bans law abiding citizens from owning guns, only gang members and criminals will have them.

Just make them more hard for people to buy (?) them even if it is "legal" because when they fall in the wrong hands it costs innocent lives. Like the shooting rampage in California just recently, Elliot Rodgers, ring a bell???

A few years ago my uncle who lives in Illinois was shot in the arm by a drunk high-schooler, luckily he didn't die, just wounded. But that doesn't mean it wasn't still horrific. He could have died.

I think guns should only be given to people who HONESTLY, REALLY, PURPOSEFULLY need it. Not to irresponsible high-schoolerss and ignorant boys that supposedly have "mental illnesses".

Banning guns will be a mistake. It will make them hard to get. Which will cause an illegal-drug-like mentality with some people They just gotta have it. The world is dangerous enough; we dont need people who want guns actively searchin for them even more.

Yes. It may not be the gun that kills, but it sure as hell makes it easier.

This is when tend people argue that "We have easy access to various other weapons. Should knives be banned as well?". If you're one of them, just think about it, is it easier to kill perched on a secluded space or while driving by in a car or by going up to a person and stabbing them, where it's much easier to intervene? A gun makes it easier to kill way more people too.
