OK,dumb question-How do I put an avatar picture on my Yahoo answers acct.?

For some users it is a simple as having the Yahoo profile (not the answers one) Hidden.

If the profile is hidden it tells you on the home page and gives a link to change it..https://profile.yahoo.com/

You can follow the directions on the help pages BUT chances are not good that it will work.

The avatar issue has been messed up for months for some users.

I get the Under Maintenance Message trying one way and on upload get the Error occurred message...3 months now..

Staff knows about it but nothing is being done to fix it.

Trying to change mine took away the one i had and now am stuck with this.

Started a thread about it on the Forum but still no word and no fix. I guess they changed that and consider it another so called new feature.

For those who have an avatar and cannot change them Nothing works.

Yahoo does not have the avatar site now so you may have to create a new one. You can make one here http://www.faceyourmanga.it/

There's been an ongoing glitch but here is how you do it. One of the links will turn your photo into a cartoon. Yahoo no longer provides avatars however you can create one from other free sites see the links below.If you are on wireless you must wait until you are on a computer.

Choose either a cartoon or a photo avatar you had saved to your pc.

Create a personal avatar below not a moving or large one, right click and save it to your computer pc.

Check the first one to make a cartoon of your own photo.
