How do you use once/twice/thrice a week/month/year in Japanese sentences?

Could you give me some example sentences?

Also a direct translation of these would be cool:

I go swimming once a week.

(isshuukan ni ikkai oyogimasu?)

I go shopping once a month.

I go on holiday once year.

Thank you.

In Japanese there are different ways to say the same as you have asked in English but I have translated from Your English to Japanese.

I go swimming once a week.

    私は、週に一度泳ぎに行きます。

    私は、週に一回泳ぎに行きます。

Watashi wa shū ni ichido oyogi ni ikimasu.

Watashi wa shū ni ikkai oyogi ni ikimasu.

I go shopping once a month.

    私は、月に一度買い物をしに行きます。

    私は、月に一回買い物をしに行きます。

Watashi wa tsuki ni ichido kaimono ni ikimasu.

Watashi wa tsuki ni ikkai kaimono ni ikimase.

I go on holiday once year.

    私は年に一度の休日に行く。

    私は年に一回の休日に行く。

Watashi wa nen ni ichi do no kyūjitsu ni ikimasu.

Watashi wa nen ni ikkai no kyūjitsu ni ikimasu.

Note: Most people prefer to use Ikkai than Ichido.
