Puppy linux, slitaz, arch linux, debian stable wheezy, lubuntu.
Se você quer uma distro realmente rápida e estável que roda bem em pc bem antigo eu recomendo o slitaz, esse sistema tem apenas 50 mb e tem um visual bacana e já vem com vários programas instalados, eu usaria essa se meu pc fosse muito antigo.
