Ah Punk and Ska Punk, perfect for the Summer I think. Well, I don't listen to those styles religiously but here are some of my go-to bands.
-Mustard Plug (Ska Punk)
-Rancid (They may be overrated but they earned it lol)
-Sublime (Pretty classic)
-Operation Ivy (I haven't heard a lot by them but the few songs I have heard, they are pretty enjoyable to listen to)
-Reel Big Fish
-Bad Religion (So very classic <3)
-Social Distortion (Another classic, at least for me anyway)
-The Offspring (Yeah yeah, I know that a lot of people dislike them but I really love them. Their music gets me amped during the summertime lol)
-Blink 182 (Same with The Offspring, they are a very controversial act but I personally like them and I always listen to them during the Summer. Very nostalgic band for me)
-The Distillers (Again, with The Offspring and Blink-182, they are pop punk with a female vocalist but I'd recommend them)
-Dead Kennedys
-The Ramones
-The Mighty Mighty Bosstones ("Let's Face it" was a very solid album I think)
-No Doubt (Hear me out, I know they get flamed a lot for being too "pop" like but if you haven't given them a listen, try out their "Tragic Kingdom" album. You might like it. It was a lot more ska influenced then their work after it)
I'm not sure if all of these bands are from California but I hope you enjoy them

Total Chaos, Anti-Flag, Anti-Heros, Oxymoron (they are from Germany), Funeral Dress, Agent 51, The Agrestix, Minor Threat, Intro5pect, The F-Ups, Counteractive (Their 2 albums are free downloads on their website), Pennywise, Billy Talent, Tower Blocks, Rancid (Great Ska punk), The Unseen, The Oppressed, Vitamin X, The Exploited, Rejected Youth, Violent Affair, Self Destruct, Antidote (From NYC), The Virus, Cheap Sex, Evacuate, Moral Dilemma, Cropknox, The Discocks, Come Live The Riot, The Casualties, Acidez, Combat Crisis
The list goes on. Thats probably 1/4 of the punk stuff i have. If you want more just say so
Source(s): Ive been a punk for a while now (Note: I dont know where some of these bands are from) Not all of these are from California, so if they are not from California, check them anyway, they rock so try them out - Bony IommiLv 77 years ago
You can't have a punk collection, and certainly not a California punk collection, without the Dead Kennedys. Great mix of hardcore, post-punk and surf guitar.
