Full coverage on a car insurance policy typically includes comprehensive and collision insurance in addition to liability coverage. Full coverage is a misleading term because the insurance does not cover everything in full.full coverage is used to refer to liability, collision, and comprehensive coverage, but every insurance company may have a different definition for it.

Depends on what you mean by "coverage." What happened?

"Full Coverage" is referring to Comprehensive and Collision coverages ONLY.

Your LIABILITY is what covers you when you are driving another person's vehicle. Also, THEIR Liability insurance should cover you for driving their car.

Everyone is entitled to my opinion.

It depends on how the policy is written, and your relationship to that someone else and their car.

For example, it will NOT carry over onto an uninsured car owned, leased, or regularly available for use, by you or a household member.

If/when it does carry over, it's SECONDARY coverage, after the first person's claim has been filed.
