As long as you don't find it irritating, it's fine.
IF, however, you were to use it for lube during intercourse it is NOT condom-compatible... it'll break the rubber down. So in that case it is not safe. But for solo sexing I wouldn't stress.

You want a GOOD lube. It will make your sessions so much better. I would get Wet or Swiss Navy Brand. Found at any drug store or online. Baby oil will dry up fast and cause friction witch will cause pain. Vaseline is really hard to wash off and you want to avoid lotions, shampoo and conditioners. At the time it may seem like a great idea but afterwards it will burn.
