I have to audition on camera tomorrow, any useful tips?
I have been invited to audition at a reputable casting agency, and they want to tape me...the sides are tiny, I only say 2,3 words and with very minimal action. I was wondering if there are any useful tips for when they tape you at auditions? Any specific do's and don't's?
And is there anything specific that can boosts my chances at in front of camera acting?
I'm mainly a stage actor, so I'm used to monologue auditions and workshops!

When you go, you'll first "slate" to the camera which means you'll look at the camera and give your name and other information they ask you to give. Otherwise, don't look at the camera. Look at the reader off-camera. I find it helpful to focus on the eyes of the reader to remind me to keep is small as if I was interacting with just one person (not a theater audience).
Enter confidentially and be natural and still. As a stage actor you may want to project or use too large of gestures. Calm and still yourself and move naturally and not exaggerated. Pay attention to the intimacy of the audition and use that.
Act with your eyes! Convey with your eyes - that's where they will be looking.

Know your blocking; if they give you a hard mark, then you stand on that damn mark, unless its soft and its more lenient. During each take, put on your best performance (you never know which one they'll use). Be careful on your blinking, don't blink. Like said, convey with your eyes? Don't blink.

practice alot, put your family members, friends in front of you and perform. Look at the mirror and practice looking at yourself.
