When you are choosing a rental management company, what do you look for?

Are there any companies that evaluate management companies? Are there associations that refer companies?

    No, there are not.

You need to do the work yourself, ask for references from each candidate you interview. Talk to the references.

I would talk to the other landlords I know, find out the good and bad with the companies they use. Since 90% of them are bad, screwing over both tenants and landlords, I would be very careful picking a company.

Do you want to rent property or a home you own?

Talk to a real estate agent first, often they either do management on the side, or know companies that do.
