Dangerous side affects of prednisone?

So I just started taking prednisone today (once daily orally in the a.m.) 50mg and I am having bad explosive diarrhea-seriously..it's bad. Normal colour though. It's only 6 p.m. and I've gone 4x . NEVER in my life have I had diarrhea like this and I read a thing online saying that I could be having some deadly reaction to it which destroys the flora in your intestines. (Clostridium diff-something) my heart rate is a little high at 94 bpm (low 70's is my norm) and I have a little fever 99.2 (my norm around 96.9-97.8) and I highly doubt I have some deadly disease from taking prednisone that just seems silly to me. BUT I'm not a doctor...YET!

You're fine. The diarrhea is coincidental. You just happened to be getting sick.

Your slightly elevated heart rate is because you're anxious.

    Stay hydrated.

You may just have a coincidental intestinal problem. Diarrhea is a possible side effect of Prednisone, but it's not common. Clostridium Difficile is a bacterial infection that may occur after treatment with antibiotics. Prednisone is not an antibiotic. Talk to your doctor if the problem doesn't clear up in a day or two.

    Not caused by the Prednosone.
