Celebrating is maybe not the right word - remembering, feeling grateful and awed by the courage those guys showed storming those beaches. I honestly don't think I have enough courage do that.
I think today, June 6, should be Memorial Day - not the last Monday in May so we can all have a 3 day weekend. It should be a little inconvenient. Freeing the world from the Nazi terror sure was.
They really were the "Greatest Generation".
